High Performance Mopar was published by Stephen Schneider and the CSK Publishing organization located in either Hackensack or Saddle Brook, New Jersey. It was focused on Mopar performance models and covered vintage muscle cars, Mopar drag racing, performance and restoration tips and anything of interest to the Mopar enthusiast.
High Performance Mopar started in 1987 on a quarterly schedule then went on a bi-monthly schedule (6 times per year). In 1993 it was published 7 times per year. The title was sold to the McMullen Argus Publishing division of Primedia Inc. in 1997 as part of a larger transaction.
CSK Publishing had numerous other titles in its portfolio including: Vette; High Performance Pontiac; Muscle Cars; Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords; and, Bracket Racing USA. These titles were sold to Petersen Publishing in the late 1990s, and then were folded into the Primedia empire a year or two later.
