Rods & Performance was published by editors from Hemmings Motor News and Special Interest Autos. Content included classified ads, event coverage, a few technical tips and new product highlights. It covered the spectrum of performance vehicles from the 1920s through the 1970s.
This title set the stage for Hemmings Muscle Machines, but when Rods & Performance ended and Muscle Machines started, the new title dropped pre-1948 vehicles.
